The new hardware unit named DiskSense 2 is equipped with:
- a server-grade motherboard
- CPU
- ECC RAM
- 2x 10Gb Ethernet ports
These heavy-duty components allow the new unit to triple the throughput of data, while the ECC RAM also secures maximum reliability of data transfer.
3 imaging sessions + other tasks
All forensic and data recovery features that you are used to, remain there. The increased capacity of the hardware allows you to do more forensic tasks simultaneously, both on good and damaged HDDs and SSDs.
All the while, the imaging performance remains as impressive as ever!
The new hardware unit has 6 Source ports:
- 3x SATA 3.0
- USB 3.2
- IDE (via USB Type-C adapter)
- Extension port: SAS, M.2 NVMe/PCIe/SATA SSD, Thunderbolt, Apple PCIe SSD
The Target ports are:
- 3x SATA 3.0
- USB 3.2
Two 10Gbit Ethernet ports allow imaging drives into the network at high speeds.
On top of the new imaging capability, the new Insight can simultaneously perform a virtually unlimited number of other tasks including hashing, wiping, artifact search, file recovery on the remaining sources, targets or locally stored images.
The new units are available for purchase starting today! The hardware upgrade programme for existing customers will be announced in 2022: due to high demand, we are focused on accommodating existing pre-orders and new purchases.
